Schoharie Central School is seeking a full-time 12-month, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week Office & Keyboard Worker

Performs general clerical duties in support of office operations;
Enters forms, form letters, transcripts, schedules, calendars, bills, vouchers, records, payrolls, title
searches, reports, index cards, timecards, etc. in a variety of media using a computer;
Transcribes meeting minutes, recordings or notes;
Prepares and maintains a variety of letters, records and reports;
Sorts, indexes, and files mail, bills, requisitions and other material;
Issues and records applications, licenses and permits;
Collects fees, accounts for monies received and issues receipts;
Answers telephone and gives out routine information;
Assist in compiling simple statistical reports;
Assists the public in understanding and completing various forms;
May compare and verify data and information with standards and regulations in a screening process;
May extract information from files, make simple file searches and maintain records;
Operates various office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, calculators, computer
keyboards, telephone.

Elementary Principal

The Schoharie Central School District is seeking an innovative, student-focused Elementary Principal. The successful candidate will serve as an instructional leader who is deeply committed to fostering academic excellence while supporting the social, emotional, and developmental needs of every student.

This leader will cultivate a welcoming and inclusive school culture that reflects the district’s commitment to community, student growth, and high expectations. The Elementary Principal will champion systems that support the whole child, including strong academic programming, positive behavioral supports, and a focus on student engagement and attendance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary instructional leadership grounded in best practices in curriculum, assessment, and data-informed decision-making
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Lead the implementation of systems that address academic achievement, behavior, and social-emotional learning
  • Support and develop staff through meaningful supervision, coaching, and professional learning opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong partnerships with families and the Schoharie community to enhance student success
  • Oversee daily building operations, including scheduling, safety procedures, and resource management
  • Ensure compliance with Board of Education policies, district priorities, and all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Actively contribute to district-wide initiatives and leadership collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • Valid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification
  • Experience in elementary education as a teacher and/or administrator
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful school leadership, including measurable impact on student achievement, positive behavioral outcomes, and overall school culture
  • Experience with or strong interest in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
  • Knowledge of or experience with the Science of Reading
  • Demonstrated success in improving mathematics instruction and student outcomes
