Responsibilities

Maintains required licensure/certification
This role requires a professional committed to supporting a student’s health needs within a school setting in Schoharie, NY
Schedule: TBD based on placement (student is returning to district)
Caseload: 1 junior high school student requiring 1:1 nursing support
Provides direct nursing care tailored to the student’s medical and health needs during school hours
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with physicians’ orders and school protocols
Monitors and documents health status and communicates as needed with school staff and healthcare providers
Responds promptly to any health emergencies or changes in condition
May require transportation support (TBD)
Possibility of Extended School Year (6 weeks, summer) position (not required)
Maintains compliance with Medicaid and school health regulations
